Meseret Assefa Ruga is an Early Childhood Educator and community development advocate with extensive experience supporting children and families. From 2017 to 2024, she worked with various childcare services, including Penrith City Council, creating safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environments Before entering early childhood education, Meseret held administrative roles at Salini Impregilo, an international construction and engineering company, where she developed strong organisational and communication skills in multicultural professional settings. Meseret is currently completing a Bachelor of Social Science, majoring in Child and Community, at Western Sydney University. Her studies have deepened her understanding of social systems, cultural diversity, and the factors that shape family and community wellbeing. Meseret is also actively engaged in community volunteering, organising cultural and social events that promote inclusion, connection, and empowerment. Guided by the values of respect, inclusion, and equity, she is committed to empowering families, supporting child development, and building stronger, more connected communities.
